Customer premise enclosure. Intended for installation at the customer site. The enclosure has a 4" back offset. The unit has two powered card postitions and one unpowered card position. Configured to hold one or two V-FASTA/B, or equivalents and V-WDM. Shipped with one position ready for card installation; two positions covered with a blank plate which can be replaced with another adaptor plate for card installation. Enclosure fits in a 1U 19" rack or can be wall mounted with screws .

VE-3SBP

  VE-3SBP FOIRL Shelf for CO (central office)

Intended for installation at the CO (central office). Holds 19 V-FASTA/B or equivalents plus 1 unpowered card. Fits a standard 3U 19" rack (can be manufactured with an offset of 2 inches for fiber bend radius clearance or cabinet door). Shelf with 19 V-FAST units requires 133 watts (7w x 19 units) or 133w/48v=2.77 Amps (fuse with 5 amp fastblow). There are two -48v power feeds on the back of the shelf. Each feed powers all card positions and no single point of failure can interrupt shelf power to any card. Two ground terminals are provided for ease of wiring and are electrically connected. Heat deflectors must be installed between shelves for convection cooling or fan trays used if no deflectors are used. Room temperature at the bottom of a shelf should not exceed 50 degrees C for convection cooling or 75 degrees C with forced air cooling.
